John Foster, Australian trumpeter, won concerto competition with the Queensland Symph at 15, member of the Queensland Phil Orch (1993-98), Queensland Symph (1994-98), the Aukland Phil Orch (1999-2000), 2nd in the Sydney Symph Orch (2001-), served as guest principal in many orchestras, taught at the Sydney Conservatorium, leading historian and player on the baroque trumpet and cornetto, founder of the Australian Baroque Brass, recorded many CDs, wrote book, The Natural Trumpet, born in Atherton, Australia.
