Bob Barnard, Australian trumpeter and bandleader, at 14 joined his parents’ dance band, joined his brother Lew’s band in 1947, in 1962 moved to Sydney and worked with Graeme Bell and became studio player, considered one of Australia’s finest traditional jazz performers, received the Order of Australia, Queen Elizabeth II Jubilee Medal, inducted into the Australian Hall of Fame, born in Melbourne, Australia.
