Pierre Vignal, French cornetist and trumpeter, received first prized for cornet at Paris Conservatory in 1902, played at the Sirène de Paris, the Casino in Vichy, and the Concerts gang in Monte Carlo, solo trumpet at the Opéra in Paris and the Société des Concerts du Conservatoire (1920-37), known for ability to play high Bach parts, first in France to play Haydn’s trumpet concerto, professor of trumpet at Paris Conservatory (1925-43), taught René Voisin, born in Isserteaux, France.
