Vance Woolf, New Zealand trumpeter, immigrated to U.S., studied at San Francisco Conservatory, played with the Westward Brass and Stockton Symphony Orch, won the Maurice Faulkner Award, principal of the Louisiana Philharmonic Orch, taught at Southeastern Louisiana Univ, although Hurricane Katrina caused him to leave, several benefit concerts raised enough money to help the LPO to reorganize and helped him move back, born in Motueka, New Zealand.
