Edward Carroll, American trumpeter and conductor, associate principal of Houston Symphony Orch at 21, principal of the San Diego Symphony and the Rotterdam Philharmonic Orch, performed with and directed the New York Trumpet Ensemble (1979-88), developed solo career with numerous albums, frequent soloist with many ensembles, taught at the Rotterdam Conservatory, London Royal Academy, CalState, CalArts, Dartmouth College, McGill Univ, director of the Center for Advanced Studies at Chosen Vale in New Hampshire, music director at the Lake Placid Institute for the Arts and Humanities, born in Chicago, Illinois.
