Vincent Cichowicz, American trumpeter, played in the Houston Symphony at age 17, served in the Fifth Army Band , became first trumpet at Grant Park Concerts, member of the Chicago Civic Orchestra, awarded 2nd trumpet in the Chicago Symphony (1952-75), taught at Northwester University (becoming the foremost trumpet teacher of his generation in America), wrote Flow Studies and Orchestra Excerpts for Trumpet, died in Fontana, Wisconsin.
