Stephen Chenette, American trumpeter and conductor, 2nd trumpet with the Buffalo Phil (1956-58), principal of the Denver Symphony Orch (1958-60), 9 weeks as principal of the Boston Pops, principal of the Minneapolis Symph (1960-72), principal of the St. Paul Chamber Orch (1961-2), taught at the Univ of Minnesota, prof of trumpet and conductor of band at Univ of Toronto (1972-2001), president of the ITG (2003-05), recipient of the ITG Award of Merit, born in Tampa, Florida.
