Lu Watters, American jazz trumpeter, formed his first jazz band in 1926, formed a band based on King Oliver’s Creole Jazz Band with two trumpets called Yerba Buena, played in a jazz band in the US Navy during WWII, left music to become chef and geologist, born in Santa Cruz, California.
