Walter Eichenberg, German trumpeter, composer and bandleader, played in military bands and on front lines in WWII, after war, joined the Original American Swing Sextet, the Karl Walter Band, then Kurt Henkels’ radio big band, becoming famous, became well known for big band arrangements and became leader of Henkels’ band, born in Großburschula, Germany.
