Richard Sudhalter, American jazz trumpeter and author, moved to Europe, teaching English and playing in the Bavarian State Radio jazz ensemble, played with many great jazz players during the 1960s while working as a correspondent for United Press Inter., returning to NYC, played in the New York Jaa Repertory Co, wrote controversially about white contributions to jazz, born in Boston, Massachusetts.
