Melvin Davis, American trumpeter, formed jazz group in the 1950s called The Lease Breakers, played with the Benny Goodman band, noted studio player, house band member for Sesame Street, played on Johnny Carson’s The Tonight Show, composed some film music, owned a few jazz clubs, died in Florida.
