Eduard Seifert, German trumpeter, principal trumpet of the Cologne Theater Orchestra (1894-5), principal of the Dresden Royal Orchestra (1895-1935), close friend of Richard Strauss, nicknamed “The Infallible,” premiered the opera “The Trumpeter of Säckingen,” soloist in 1909 performance of the Haydn Concerto in E-flat in Dresden, born in Leipzig, Germany.
